From Florence to Elba Island: 2024 Italian Cycling Championships will be held in Tuscany

The 2024 Italian Cycling Championships will take place in Tuscany, giving the region the prestigious title of cycling capital for the year, also coinciding with the Grand Départ of the Tour de France.

Under the name Toscana Tricolore 2024 (Tuscany Tricolored), the event will take place from June 17 to October 6, with a program involving several categories and specialties, for a total of ten events, which will award many titles in different disciplines, including road, track and off-road. 2,500 athletes are expected to participate.

The 2024 Italian Cycling Championships will start from Florence on June 17 and will end in Elba Island on October 6.

Some details about the program and events planned:

  • Juniores Italian Championships on track (Men and Women)
    Florence, June 17 - 18
    Young talents will compete on the Florence track to win the Italian title in the various track specialties
  • Individual time trial
    Grosseto, June 19 - 20
    The time trial will test the athletes' endurance and accuracy on a specific course
  • Road Championships Women Elite
    from Florence to Scarperia - San Piero a Sieve, June 22
    Elite female cyclists will compete on a challenging course through the Tuscan hills
  • Italian Championship with the Race “Per Sempre Alfredo” (Forever Alfredo)
    Florence, Scarperia - San Piero a Sieve and arrival in Sesto Fiorentino, June 23
    Professionals will compete for the Italian title in an exciting race through several Tuscan locations
  • Beginner and Junior Women
    Lucca, July 6
    Young female cyclists will have the opportunity to demonstrate their talent and determination
  • Beginner and Junior Men 
    Marginone di Altopascio, July 7
    Young male cyclists will also have a chance to compete and show their skills
  • Italian Championship Cross Country Short Track 
    Ciocco a Barga, July 27
    An opportunity for these athletes to demonstrate their skills and compete for the national title
  • Italian Championship Cross Country Eliminator 
    Ciocco a Barga, July 28
    Cross Country Eliminator is an exciting and dynamic discipline that tests both the technical skills and endurance of cyclists; competition open to all categories
  • Pump Track 
    Ponte Buggianese, September 22
    This discipline involves courses with turns and jumps, testing participants' agility and technique
  • Enduro
    Elba Island, October 6
    A specialty that requires both uphill and downhill skills
