Paganico's Festival: back to the past
The majestic little village of Paganico celebrates every year from the end of August and the beginning of September the “Sagra della Granocchia” , one of the oldest festival of the place.
The main event of it is the “Palio della Granocchia”on Sunday. It’s a competition between all the teams of the village that have to run around the town square pushing a wheelbarrow with three frogs on top without letting it fall. The first who arrives wins.
Above this we have two more competitions, which are, the parade competition with medieval costumes and the culinary challenge with a menu based on frogs, (fried, boiled,with sauce).
In this week the village comes alive with stands, live music, disco nights and markets.
