“Sentire la forma”

From Sunday, December 3, 2023 to Sunday, February 4, 2024, the Carrara Museum of Arts – MudaC will host the sculpture exhibition “Sentire la forma” (Feeling the form), a solo show by Beatrice Taponecco.

The exhibition, which inaugurate the cycle of exhibition events in the Project Room, is the result of a collaborative process with blind people.

Five statuary marble sculptures are arranged inside a darkened room. By caressing the works, the audience will be able to perceive their form.
In the background is the music “Beatrice che scava la pietra” (Beatrice carving stone), conceived by composer Andrea Nicoli, a musical installation that paves the way for the sensory experience.

The opening hours of the exhibition correspond to those of the Museum:

• from Tuesday to Sunday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.
• December 24 and 31, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Meetings and visits with the artist are planned.
