The exhibition commemorates the 500th anniversary of the death of Fra Giovanni da Verona, an Olivetan monk and one of the finest marquetry artists of the Renaissance.
Nineteen contemporary artists pay tribute to him, honoring a visionary spirit that still inspires today. Fra Giovanni's legacy lives on through his fusion of technical mastery, perspective, and profound messaging—an artistic language that remains relevant and instructive.
This exhibition features a sacred world brought to life in wood inlay: still lifes, animals, faces, landscapes, studies of Renaissance themes, towering skyscrapers, busy streets, lightning-split skies, both traditional and modern musical instruments, swirling colors, and deconstructed and reconstructed geometries.
