Monteriggioni gravel bike guided tour
History, nature and lots of beautiful "strade bianche" to ride on a gravel bike
In this gravel tour you will ride around the area of Monteriggioni, ending at the fortified medieval Castle. A great mix of wide dusty roads and trails through vineyards and other forestry hidden gems. You will be able to see how the landscape has been shaped and has changed during the centuries since the introduction of agriculture. In the past years, indeed, the whole central part of Tuscany was an untouched forest of oak trees.
If you book the full day tour you will be able to cycle also to San Gimignano, the medieval town of the fine towers, and ride along the best unpaved roads nearby.
The course of this tour is not technical but it is thought to be completed on a gravel bike. Mountain bikes riders are also welcome.
