Classic Tuscany bike trip
Florence, Chianti, Siena, Volterra, Pisa. A-7-day-loop self-guided through the heart of classic Tuscany
In seven days, the landscape will change completely under your wheels. You'll ride through the vineyards of Chianti Classico and the white gravel roads of L'Eroica — those unpaved roads that draw cyclists from around the world every year. Then the hills of Siena, the calanchi (eroded clay hills) of Volterra with their almost lunar terrain. After visiting Pisa, you'll head back toward Florence.
The route follows three historic paths: the Romea Senese, the Via Francigena, and the Via del Sale. Roads that pilgrims once walked to reach Rome — and that you'll ride across, with centuries of history beneath your wheels.
This route works because it doesn't just show you Tuscany — it lets you live it. Each stage ends in the heart of a different city, yours to explore and experience. With the optional e-bike rental, even the steepest climb becomes a relaxing ride. So much so that the tour is suitable for riders as young as 14.
