The Science Center Museum in Prato

Contains 750 sq.m of showrooms with collections of birds, mammals, fishes, reptiles, insects, shells, minerals, stones, herbariums, and archaeological and paleontologic finds of the Galceti Paleolithic Mousterian station

Via di Galceti, 74

Inside the Museum, as inside the park, you will find wild guests that arrive injured and ill to the Center. After treatment and a readaptation process they are re-released to the wild, but many of these animals remain in the park of their own will.

The artifacts inside the museum are testimony to human settlements in this area which date back to the Paleolithic Age (over 40.000 years ago.) There are also finds from the Bronze and Etruscan Ages.
