IL MOLINACCIO

Il Molinaccio is a luxury residence created through the skilful restoration of an old mill situated in the historic Medici town of Montepulciano. Nestled in an atmosphere of absolute tranquillity, the property is surrounded by a large garden featuring centuries-old oak trees, olive trees, an orchard and a vineyard. One of its most charming features is the modern swimming pool, set within the old water-retaining walls and treated ecologically with high-quality salt from the Volterra salt pans; this method, which uses no chemical chlorine, is particularly gentle on the skin, does not irritate the eyes and aids buoyancy.
For those who love being close to nature, Alessandro and Marco have created a picturesque trail through the woods along the Salcheto stream, featuring rest areas perfect for meditation.

In addition to its hospitality, Il Molinaccio is a leading organic winery which produces, across its more than four hectares of vineyards, prestigious wines such as Rosso di Montepulciano DOC, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG (including a Riserva version) and renowned IGT Toscana wines, alongside a fine grappa distilled from its own pomace.
The guest experience is rounded off by authentic, locally sourced cuisine: breakfast features homemade tarts made with ‘Coscia di Monaca’ plums and fruit from the estate, whilst in the evening guests can dine in the communal lounge, enjoying local dishes made with produce from the vegetable garden, perfectly paired with the organic wines.
