“Il Duchesco” farmhouse is located at the end of the Natural Park of Maremma; it is the ideal vacation spot for families and groups wishing to relax in a hospitable environment, to be in contact with nature and discover the flavors of our area. Our rooms have simple but functional furniture, (walls are painted only with high breathability paint, and lamps are energy efficient) with independent entrance and garden. Mobile +39 3388462659 We serve a rich and abundant breakfast buffet, consisting of sweet home made jams, pastries, yogurth, Tuscan bread, salami and ham, all made by us. Our restaurant, open also for external customers, offers a Biological typical menu; the ingredients used are 80% biological and produced in Maremma. The restaurant belongs to the “Italian Slow Food Club”, an association known for the importance given to the quality and taste of local products. We produce wines that are famous all over the world, fruits, vegetables, extra virgin olive oil, sparkling wine, “grappa” and “passito”. Here, you could taste products like salami, hams, wildboard sausages and “pecorino” cheese. Two tasting menus are available for groups: Dinner tasting menu: 25,00 euros “Appetizer” tasting menu: 18,00 euros Our staff speaks English and German. Excursion and guided tours can be organised on demand in any language for the whole -or- half day.(The price is around 100-150,00 euros) Folklore: During your stay , it will be possible to invite the “Cantori of Maremma”, singers wearing traditional clothes singing stories of Maremma. Near the farmhouse there is the amazing and charming beach of the Natural Park of Maremma, while driving toward south it is possible to reach the breathtaking “Costa D'Argento”.  (We can organise private buses to reach the Argentario coast.) Located on the coast of Argentario are the ancient village of Talamone, Orbetello, Porto Santo Stefano and Porto Ercole. Other points of interests nearby are: Pitigliano 1hour by car Pisa 1 hour and 30minutes by car Florence 1 hour and 30minutes by car Rome 1 hour and 30minutes by car Wellness Free thermal waters in Saturnia, 1 hour and 30minutes by car. Sport The area offers a wide choice of sports; it is possibile to learn Kite surf at the Kite surfing School, (only 6 km from our Farmhouse), as well as to practise scooba-diving with a specialized team or to live a day just like a sailor (Pescaturismo) fishing on board of a boat. Fabio will be glad to show you the  most interesting paved&unpaved paths. Activities&Kitchen Tuscan cooking classes lasting three hours and teaching basic skills to prepare home made pasta and pizza. History&Art Grosseto, (10 minutes by car), enclosed in Medicean walls, has a beautiful historical centre, an important Archelogical Museum and a Natural Museum. Marriage(for intimate ceremonies max 60-70 p.) It is possibile to organise small wedding ceremonies in the church of Alberese; we can provide you with a horse drawn carriage from the church to our farmhouse, where a rich buffet will be served. Awards: We received "the first Prize for good practices for renewable energy” at the International festival of Ecology and Solidarity “Festambiente” organized by Legambiente (Rispescia – August 2006) and a mention as finalists in the "Royal Accomodation Award for Sustainable Tourism in Europe” , organized by the Danish and Spanish Royal Crowns (Copenhagen, November 2006).
