CASA AGRICOLA ROSSI
Agritourisms
in Bibbiena
Open all year round, the agriturismo provides guest accommodation in three comfortable apartments, and the farm offers a range of socio-cultural activities designed to protect the environment and preserve local traditions. The agriturismo is located in a building which dates back to the 1800s, originally owned by the Camaldolese monks, and previously used as a horse exchange on the old road through the fields along the Archiano. Today it offers three spacious apartments, recently renovated to preserve the typical interiors, such as the black stone staircase, the wrought iron handrails typically hand-produced in the Arezzo region, the exposed brick vaults and the wooden beams. L’Argine (The Embankment) is a ground floor apartment, named after the tree-lined pathway which runs for around 1 km, around the farm and through its fields, to the Archiano River, next to the cycle track. L’Eremo (The Hermitage) is named in reference to the Camaldolese monks and the sacred Camaldoli hermitage located in the Casentinesi Forest. La Colombaia (The Dovecote) takes its name from the turret at the top of the house, which in ancient times was used for breeding birds. The agriturismo is ideally located for exploring all of the Casentino and for easy access to Arezzo, Florence and Siena. A walk of about 800 metres along the embankment that crosses the farm’s fields will take you to the “Ciclopista dell'Archiano” cycle track and footpath, popular both with locals and tourists who use it for relaxing walks, fitwalking, jogging and cycling.  You can also enjoy personalised excursions for individuals or groups in Tuscany and Romagna (booking required 72 hours in advance).
