Agricola Ombra is a small eco-camping nestled in a wild, silent forest in the hills above Lajatico, in the heart of a lesser-known Tuscany. Here, at 400 meters above sea level, nature sets the pace and hospitality is simple, thoughtful, and real.

Our four heavy cotton tents—comfortable like real bedrooms—stand in a quiet clearing with a wide view over the valley and the sunsets. Each tent has a private deck and private bathroom, and shares a spacious, fully equipped outdoor kitchen. All around: forest, stars, and silence.

This is a place for those seeking a break from the noise. For those who love walking, reading under a tree, cooking slowly, or sharing a glass of wine under the stars. From here, trails lead through the forest to the medieval Pietracassia Fortress, now hidden among the trees.

We don’t offer luxury, but a sober kind of beauty—made of simple materials, care for detail, and deep respect for the land. We live here year-round, tend the garden, harvest olives and honey, and cook with what the season gives. This is not a resort, but a living place—one to be inhabited, even just for a few days.
