Expo Chianti Classico

The Expo Chianti Classico event brings to Piazza Matteotti, the heart of Greve in Chianti, producers from the entire Chianti Classico area and therefore this is a unique opportunity to get to know this important Tuscan wine up close and at "home".

Started in the 1970s, the initiative has changed its name and style over time, always and in any case confirming itself as an important appointment for the world of Chianti wine.

Every year, on the second weekend of September, Piazza Matteotti welcomes winegrowers and cellars, bottles and glasses, and an audience of wine enthusiasts and onlookers.

In addition to tastings, including some guided ones, the program includes numerous artistic and cultural events (exhibitions, tours, concerts...).

The 51st edition of Expo Chianti Classico will take place from September 7 to 10, 2023, preceded by the events of "Aspettando L'Expo" (Waiting for...) on August 31 and September 1-2-6.

Information:

• the cash desk is located at the entrance of Piazza Matteotti, on the side of via Battisti
• cost of glass holder + glass + 7 tasting tickets - 15 € (with the possibility of re-purchase); for some wines the tasting is worth 2 tickets (Chianti Classico Riserva, Chianti Classico Gran Selezione, Vinsanto del Chianti Classico)
• for the tastings in the square, reservations are not required and there is no online pre-sale
• for guided tastings, booking by email is required
