From Friday, March 13, through to Sunday, May 3, the Diocesan Museum in Massa is hosting the exhibition Natura Evocata by Piero Mosti.
This show marks the return of one of the most influential protagonists of Italian contemporary art to a venue of high spiritual and historical value, strengthening the dialog between artistic research and the memory of a place.
Natura Evocata brings together a selection of works created through a technique that constitutes a poetic manifesto. The artist paints on old papers that cease to be mere documents but instead are transformed into fertile soil, from which an intense and vital nature resurfaces. In this visual palimpsest, ancient calligraphy dissipates into mist, nourishment and reflection, generating an evocative discourse between the linear time of human history and the cyclical time of nature. The project thus becomes a space of layering, memory and rebirth.
The exhibition can be visited during the Diocesan Museum’s opening hours, with
the inauguration scheduled for 4:30 pm on Friday, March 13.
