26th Strozzapreti Festival

The Strozzapreti and typical Maremma products Festival returns to Sticciano Scalo - Roccastrada (GR), on July 16 - 17 and 23 - 24.

The event, now in its 26th edition, is organised by the Pro Loco of Sticciano and will be held at the new multi-purpose structure. It will be possible to taste typical Maremma products, and in particular strozzapreti, a type of pasta from the Maremma Grossetana tradition, made with very simple ingredients such as water and flour, and seasoned with sauces made by the skilful hands of the Sticciano cooks.

The well-equipped area, a cosy environment surrounded by a natural park consisting of a cork-oak wood, offers all the services necessary to ensure the entertainment and comfort of guests: a bar, a stage for live music and dance evenings, a market and exhibition, a funfair and a playground for children. A large free car park is also available 300 metres from the festival, in the railway station area. Moreover, for all those who love the sea, remember that the latter can be reached by car in just 20 minutes.

The restaurant opens every evening from 7.30 p.m.
At 9 p.m. musical performances begin, organised by the Avis Sticciano "A. Cherubini" section. 

Biocompostable materials will be used for the festival.
