Sterro Appalla Vol. 5 - Jurassic Chianti

May 22–24 sees the return of Sterro Appalla, the event dedicated to gravel, touring and mountain bikers along the unpaved roads of Chianti.

Choose from itineraries of varying difficulty and length, designed to suit each adventurer’s fitness level and to offer an immersive experience in the hilly landscape between Florence and Siena.

The program includes:

• Friday, May 22
  Departure from Florence in the early afternoon following the gravel trail to the Base Camp. 
  Dinner cooked by Sterro followed by a big party.
• Saturday, May 23
  Departure from the Base Camp, traveling along the gravel routes of your choosing to explore Florentine Chianti and beyond. Refreshments along the route and a pasta party upon return. 
  In the evening, dinner and another big party.
• Sunday, May 24
  Return to Florence from the Base Camp. 

Workshops, talks and games are scheduled for Friday afternoon and Saturday.

The Base Camp
Nestled in the green hills south of Florence, in the territory of the municipality of Bagno a Ripoli, the Base Camp is equipped with a limited number of spaces to pitch a tent or park a camper or van, along with showers and other camping facilities.

Once again, this year, be joined on your discovery of Jurassic Chianti by Brontosaurus Nena and T-Rex Piero!
