Siena Incanta

The initiative Siena Incanta - History flows, art flourishes includes a total of 6 free guided tours on April 25 and May 2 starting at 5:00 pm.

3 itineraries will be offered on each of the 2 days, presenting unique perspectives of the city.

• Fonte Gaia and its mysteries – a journey through monumental waters.
  This itinerary includes visits to the Giardino dei Profumi and fountains including Fonte dei Pispini, Fonte San Maurizio, Fonte di Pantaneto, Fonte del Ghetto and Fonte Gaia.
  Meeting point: Giardino dei Profumi
• The Hidden Fountain - between noble palaces and secret gardens.
  The route passes through the Botanical Garden, the Orti dei Tolomei, Fonte Serena and Fonte Gaia.

• Fonte delle Monache - the hidden fountain, on the trail of the Diana.
  An itinerary to lead visitors on a discovery of the Museum Complex of Santa Maria della Scala and the Carmine (Pozzo della Diana) then reaching the Fonte delle Monache.

Along the way, participants will meet some watercolorists from the Associazione Italiana Acquerellisti (A.I.A), intent on capturing the light of Siena. Both days will conclude with Sienese folk songs, contributing to this being a full immersion in local tradition.
