In San Casciano dei Bagni the organic market of local products

The market of the producers of the Valdichiana and Val d'Orcia areas, "Valdichiana Eating", will held its 6th edition in San Casciano dei Bagni on April 6 and 7. This is a project to enhance the short chain products, local food and wine excellence and quality certifications, with the awareness that one of the best ways to get to know a territory is to set out to discover its traditional flavors.

The main event of Valdichiana Eating, the annual market of local products and producers, takes place every year in a different square in Valdichiana. This year the market is set in the historic center of San Casciano dei Bagni.

The producers of the Valdichiana and Val d'Orcia areas will be there with their best products, from the Valdichiana garlic to the pecorino cheese, from cured meats to jams. There will also be the opportunity to taste wine at the usual Wine corner, while the insertion of an Oil corner is one of the news of the 2024 edition. 

Saturday, April 6

    Guided tour of the Le Stanze Cassianensi Museum in San Casciano dei Bagni and trek to the Rediscovered Sanctuary archaeological excavation 
  • 12 p.m.
    Presentation of Francesca della Giovampaola's book "La cura della terra" and the project "Il Bosco di Ogigia"

Sunday, April 7

  • from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    Local food market. Wine and Oil corner.
  • 10 a.m. 
    Truffle hunting (maximum 20 people - availability subject to availability)
  • from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. 
    “Mani in pasta” for children and adults to make pici (local fresh pasta)
