Profumi di Lari

On Sunday, April 12 in the village of Lari comes a rendezvous for Profumi di Lari (Scents of Lari), a day dedicated to the blossoming of the cherry trees and local traditions related to their famous fruits, the Ciliegia di Lari IGP. 
The initiative allows visitors to discover the area through different experiences that combine nature, gastronomy, culture and outdoor activities.

Participants can choose from various packages designed to satiate different interests:

• Package A is the most comprehensive and offers a full immersion into the excellences of the area. After visiting the blooming cherry trees in the surrounding countryside, the tour continues with a few stops devoted to local culinary traditions. Enjoy visiting the Pastificio Martelli, a historic artisan company known for producing high-quality pasta, as well as the Liquorificio Meini, where typical liqueurs and traditional processing can be discovered. 
  The program additionally includes admission to the 3 Latti Lari, a cave where cheese is matured, along with a guided tour of the village. 
  
  The day concludes with lunch under the market loggias.
• Package B, rather, offers an experience that combines nature and history. After admiring the cherry trees in bloom, participants visit the impressive Vicari Castle, one of the symbols of the village. The tour continues with an itinerary dedicated to local excellences, allowing visitors to learn about local products and traditions. Again, the day winds up with lunch under the market loggias. 
• Package C is designed for those who enjoy outdoor activities and who want to experience it more dynamically. It entails a bike ride to the countryside where cherry blossom trees are found, offering an opportunity to pedal through landscapes of typical Tuscan countryside. 
  Following the visit to the cherry orchards is a stop at the local liquor factory, the Liquorificio Mein, then finally lunch under the market loggias. This itinerary is of medium difficulty.
• Package D offers a walk of about 3.7 miles or 6 kilometers through the countryside surrounding Lari, accompanied by views of cherry trees in bloom. The experience concludes with a lunch surrounded by nature, directly among the cherry trees, offering a convivial moment in a particularly picturesque setting.
• Package E is a simpler version of the walk. Again, there is route of approximately 3.7 miles or 6 kilometers among the flowering cherry trees, without lunch being included. The meeting time is set for 2:30 pm, with those who wish to participate only in the walk in mind.
• Package F is the most basic option, simply allowing you to visit the blooming cherry trees and enjoy the beauty of the spring landscape, with no additional activities.
