The 9ᵗʰ edition of the Danza in Arte a Pietrasanta (DAP) Festival will take place from June 22 to July 5, with a program offering much international flair.
In addition to the 11 evenings hosted in the Cloister of Sant’Agostino and the closing show, which will be held in the Gran Teatro della Versiliana (Marina di Pietrasanta) featuring outstanding dance companies, 21 invasions have been planned, entailing brief dance performances backdropped by the spaces of the city, such as Piazza Duomo, the Susanna Orlando Gallery, Piazza Stazione, Studio Stagetti, Bagno Biancamano and the Marina di Pietrasanta Pier.
A one-of-a-kind festival in which Performing Arts (Dance and Music) merge with Visual Arts and music to give rise to a new and engaging universal language manifested even outside the traditional theater space, reaching spectators in outdoor locations. Also characterizing DAP Festival is a careful selection of modern and contemporary choreography, presented by some of the world’s most renowned dance companies and the biggest names in classical and contemporary dance.
Integrating dance, art, music, photography and video, the projects push choreographers and dancers to reinterpret natural and urban spaces, offering new perspectives on live performances. This synergy is not just an artistic fusion but a dialogue between contemporary dance and nature, from the shores of the sea to the marble quarries of the Apuan Alps. This combination of art and nature creates engaging and memorable experiences for audiences.
