Festa dell’Olio Nuovo in Pergine Valdarno

Olive oil has long been one of the most authentic symbols of Pergine Valdarno, a land of traditions, genuine flavors and landscapes permeated by the scents of Tuscany. 

Each year in early November, the village is transformed to celebrate its most precious treasure: Olio Nuovo (New Oil), fruit of the first pressing of freshly harvested olives. 

The Festa dell’Olio Nuovo (New Oil Festival) will be held on November 8 and 9. During the 2-day festival, the streets of the historic center come alive with food stands, local craft markets, performances, live music and a large children’s play area in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. 

It will be possible to taste this season’s Olio Nuovo and other traditional Tuscan delicacies, buy Km 0 products and meet local producers. There will be no shortage of stalls selling Pergine Valdarno Olive Oil, to take home some authentic Tuscan flavor. 

Heated stands will ensure comfort and conviviality even on the crispest days of fall. An unmissable event for those who love good food, rural culture and the unique atmosphere of Tuscan villages.
