The 29ᵗʰ Sagra del Tartufo Marzuolo (Marzuolo Truffle Festival) in Montespertoli is one of the most anticipated food and wine events of Tuscan spring. The food fair is held on the weekends of March 14–15 and 21–22 at the Montespertoli Urban Park, offering visitors and enthusiasts an authentic experience in the heart of the area.
The festival celebrates the prized Marzuolo truffle, renowned for its intense and delicate aroma, typical of the Montespertoli forests. This product of excellence best represents Tuscany’s agricultural and food heritage and local gastronomic tradition.
The menu offers a rich array of flavors, with truffle hors d’oeuvres, polenta crostini embellished with fragrant flakes of truffle, tagliolini and ravioli exalted by the unmistakable Marzuolo aroma, truffle carpaccio with Parmesan cheese, as well as tasty truffle tagliata (steak) and truffle arista (roast pork) for the most discerning palates.
To exalt each course is a selection of wines, sold by the glass or in bottles, concluding with house desserts and traditional biscotti accompanied by Vin Santo dessert wine.
The event is a special opportunity to discover and appreciate the Marzuolo truffle and the excellence of the area in a convivial and welcoming atmosphere.
On Saturday, March 14 and 21, the food fair will be open only for dinner, while on Sunday, March 15 and 22, it will be possible to attend the event both for lunch and dinner.
