On Sunday, June 1, Montemassi will once again become an open-air museum, bringing dozens of paintings to life among the village’s piazzas, streets, sights and panoramas, thanks to the 2025 edition of the traditional event I Quadri Viventi (Living Paintings).
The theme of this edition is “Beyond the Canvas ... portraits of yesteryear, emotions of today, beauty is renewed ...”, for a unique spectacle involving about one hundred people including the performers, carpenters, joiners, electricians, costume designers, hairdressers, makeup artists, figurative arts enthusiasts and many others, who will create stupendous scenic arrangements that contribute to the realization of the event.
The rendezvous is at 4:30 pm in Piazza della Madonna where, after a brief presentation by the organization, group departures will be organized so that everyone can calmly enjoy the show and the thrills the event is sure to provoke. The last group will depart at 6:30 pm.
The show has free admission, with stations along the route in support of the event.
