From Saturday, March 28, through Sunday, June 28, the Ugo Guidi Museum 2 (MUG2) is hosting the exhibition Tribute to Andy Warhol and the Pop Universe.
The exhibition features the fundamental themes of the artist’s research with works that pay homage to his political, commercial and star system works.
These images—reproduced in silkscreen prints and often in series—challenged the traditional idea of the uniqueness of a work of art, transferring the industrial manufacturing model to the art world and shining light on the relationship between art and consumerism.
The exhibition itinerary unfurls through a selection of some 30 works in tribute to the New York-based artist, rendering the complexity of his creative and human universe.
Visitors are accompanied throughout the exhibition by the narrative voice of Nikola Greku (renowned actor and Ca’ Foscari University graduate) in Italian and English, interweaving the reading of the works with anecdotes about the artist’s life, transforming the visit into an immersive and engaging experience.
The exhibition is open from Thursday to Sunday, with the following hours:
