A major exhibition at the Gigi Guadagnucci Museum in Massa

From Saturday, June 21 to Thursday, August 21, the Gigi Guadagnucci Museum in Villa Rinchiostra, Massa, is hosting the important exhibition “Gigi Guadagnucci Giò Pomodoro | Conversation on Nature.”

The setup creates an unprecedented marriage and dialogue between the works of Massa artist Gigi Guadagnucci who spent decades working in Paris and Giò Pomodoro, an emblematic sculptor of the 20ᵗʰ century, originally from Orciano di Pesaro and Milanese by adoption. On the artistic journey of the two sculptors, both of whom resided in the foothills of the Apuan Alps for a significant period of their careers, recurs—albeit with different outcomes—their deep relationship with nature and in particular with the sun, which the exhibition aims to investigate. 

Eighteen masterpieces characterized by the use of materials such as marble, stone and, in Pomodoro’s case, even bronze.

  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm
  • Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and 6:00 to 9:00 pm
  • Sunday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
