Angeli. Espressioni d’Arte in mostra

From Saturday, March 7 to Sunday, March 15, the Palazzo Ducale in Massa is hosting the exhibition Angeli. Espressioni d’arte in mostra (Angels. Expressions of Art on Display).

The exhibition unites works dedicated to the theme of angels, inspired not only by the Christian tradition but also other spiritual cultures. 
The techniques used mainly recall the traditional painting of ancient icons, reinterpreted by contemporary artists and iconographers through various languages. 
Thus proposed is an itinerary touching on art, symbolism and spirituality able to incite tradition and current sensibility into dialog.

The exhibition can be visited daily with the opening hours of:

• Monday through Friday from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm
• Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to noon and 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm

Two side events are also scheduled, both in the Sala Consiliare (Council Chamber):

• Saturday, March 7 at 4:00 pm: in conjunction with the opening, the event Divina Commedia. Libro degli Angeli (Divine Comedy. Book of Angels) edited by Franco Naldoni, scholar and Dante expert

Thursday, March 12 at 5:00 pm: the conference Gli Angeli nell’Arte (Angels in Art) with artists and scholars Elena Meacci and Anastasia Chiocchetti
