On Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22, Lucca Historiae Fest—the festival that tells of the city’s history with an original mix of expressive forms—returns for a weekend of history and fun for the whole family.
The heart of the event is the Orologio del Tempo, the section dedicated to living history activities animated by more than five hundred reenactors from all over Italy and representing all historical eras.
A journey through the centuries, bastion after bastion, where historical reconstructions allow you to relive the various eras that have characterized the more than 2,000 years of Lucca, from its pre-Roman origins to the 20ᵗʰ century.
The weekend’s rich program also includes several exhibitions, set up in the barracks of the Walls, and a rich calendar of cultural events, performances and opportunities to be entertained.
Ample focus is given to children, with ancient games along with educational and creative workshops.
Information and the full program are available on the event website and social media channels.
