From March 9 to 21 in Livorno, Wander and Pick fills Terrazza Mascagni with an initiative that invites citizens and visitors to stroll among the flower beds and pick tulips in bloom.
From the 50,000 bulbs of rare species planted in the flower beds of the Terrazza Mascagni, a bounty of tulips bloom in different shades, creating an expanse of color that attracts curious onlookers, photographers and many Livorno locals.
Throughout the initiative, it is possible to wander through the flower beds, gather tulips into buckets provided by the volunteers and take them home, offering a donation to support the activities of the association organizing the event.
The Wander and Pick project has already been implemented in several Tuscan cities, including Lastra a Signa, Sesto Fiorentino, Scandicci and Piombino. After the success of the last edition, the initiative returns for the 2ⁿᵈ year in Livorno.
Not only does tulip picking provide an original experience in contact with nature but it also helps to keep the bulbs healthy and encourage a new bloom the following year.
