Medieval Fest in Fosdinovo

An atmosphere of yesteryear, including jesters, stalls and handicrafts

On July 6 and 7, the long-awaited Festa Medievale (Medieval Festival) returns to Fosdinovo, now in its 24ᵗʰ edition, celebrating the “Triumph of Gabriello Malaspina 1487”.

This annual event transports visitors back in time with spectacular performances, historical reenactments and an atmosphere of yesteryear

Amidst stalls peddling typical Lunigiana products and local handicraft creations, you can enjoy traditional specialties at the food court, which is also open in the evening to enjoy the captivating evening performances

Historical groups from all over Italy will take part in the event, while artisans and paraders will stage ancient crafts. There will be no shortage of musicians, jesters and itinerant actors ready to engage the audience with performances rich in charm and tradition.

Special events include the temporary exhibition displaying clothes and objects from the 15ᵗʰ century, at the Fosdinovo Municipal Library until September 15.

  • The Medieval Festival will take place from 6:00 pm until late in the evening, all throughout the medieval village of Fosdinovo
  • Admission is free
  • Parking spaces are available near the entry to the event
