A site-specific event in the large complex at the heart of Florence

A 3ʳᵈ exhibition has been set up in the space of Sant’Orsola, awaiting the final rebirth, scheduled for 2026 with the opening of the Sant’Orsola Museum.
In the great space at the heart of Florence, The Rose That Grew From Concrete is a site-specific event that will run from early September through to January 4, 2026.

The exhibition consists of 13 creations by Italian and foreign artists who were called upon to find inspiration among the bare, rough walls of the extensive former convent, military and manufacturing complex that today occupies an entire block in the San Lorenzo district.

The exhibition features the works of Chiara Bettazzi, Bottega Bianco Bianchi Scagliole, Mireille Blanc, Bianca Bondi, Davidovici & Ctiborsky, Marion Flament, Federico Gori, Beate Höing, Flora Moscovici, Chris Oh, Elise Peroi, Clara Rivault and Shubha Taparia.

For opening hours and more information, please see the Sant’Orsola Museum website.
