The Florentine Summer is back in style, the rich season of events for all tastes (over 100 projects and numerous festivals), throughout the city for four months, from June 1 to September 30.

It starts with the Secret Florence Festival (June 6 - July 5): art, dance and music in lesser-known places in the city. Musica dei poeti e poeti della musica del Novecento, the Festival between poetry & music will be held in the courtyard of Palazzo Strozzi (September 3 - 5).

Palazzuolo strada aperta will be an event that will transform the area around the street of the same name into an open-air art gallery.

The Festival Sagrati in Musica will feature various concerts in some church parvises (June 7 -  September 7), while the Florence Dance Performing Arts Festival, starting June 23, will animate the Chiostro Grande of Santa Maria
Novella, not only with Dance but also with classical music concerts.

The Apriti Cinema film festival changes location, from the Uffizi square to that of Palazzo Pitti, from June 16 to July 13.

The Festival au Desert (Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and North African ethnic music) will be at the Parco delle Cascine (July 23 - 25); the same location will also host, from Septermber 19 to 21, Open air Circus the Festival
dedicated to the circus world.

Also in September, from 2 to 14, the Florence Jazz Festival will animate the Oltrarno, as will Genius Loci, through various disciplines, the monumental complex of Santa Croce (September 25 - 27).

The evenings of the Florentine Summer are also enlivened by 14 summer venues, among which the new entry is the splendid green area of the former Michelangelo Campsite, a stone's throw from the nearby, panoramic piazzale: all open-air venues set up in various parts of the city, some of which are certainly cooler.
