From May 23 to 25 the Festival dedicated to families and children returns to Florence.
"Let us build peace, the song of the world" is the subtitle of this 12th edition, which in fact will have Peace and the Franciscan message of the “Canticle of Creatures” as common denominators of the entire event.
The city will be invaded by hundreds of events (performances, games, workshops, readings, concerts), all with free admission, aimed at children up to 12 years of age. Friday morning will be reserved for schools, while Saturday and Sunday events will be open to all.
Palazzo Vecchio, among the main venues, will host various theatre performances, concerts by small and large musicians and a workshop of peace flags, which will symbolically parade in Piazza Signoria.
Once again it will be possible to spend an unforgettable Night at the Meuseum, not only at Palazzo Vecchio, but also at Palazzo Medici Riccardi and Museo Stefano Bardini.
Theatre, music and art workshops will be held at Le Murate, while in the former Dormitory of Santa Maria Novella, scenographic creations inspired by the ‘Cantico’ will be staged. The Istituto Geografico Militare will also join, discovering geography and cartography, and the Istituto degli Innocenti, with performances, artistic and educational activities. But the list of places involved, and of events, is truly endless.
Check the official website of the event for complete program and booking information (booking available from May 19 to 22).
