Medicea Wine Festival in Cerreto Guidi

On Saturday, July 18, Sunday, July 19 and Saturday, July 25, the Medicea Wine Festival returns to Cerreto Guidi, as the annual event dedicated to the culture of wine and the food and wine excellences of the area.

The festival promotes local wine production through tastings, meetings and moments of conviviality that enliven the historic center. 

Among the most anticipated events is Cerreto Street Wine, set to be held in the picturesque setting of the piazza in front of Villa Medici. 
On the evenings of July 18 and 19, local wineries will present their best reds, whites, rosés and bubbles as part of a tasting tour enlivened by street food and live music. 
With the purchase of a wine glass, visitors receive a booklet of vouchers to use along the tasting itinerary.

The second part of the event, taking place on Saturday, July 25, is dedicated to the culinary challenge between the four districts of the Palio del Cerro, which compete to win the prestigious Mestolo d’Oro (Golden Ladle). 
Dishes are evaluated by both by popular vote and a guest chef, while tastings of local wines and music accompany attendees through the village streets, transforming the evening into an experience of taste and tradition.
