La Notte di Isabella 2026

On July 4 and 5, in the village of Cerreto Guidi, a special event takes you back in time to 1576, the year Isabella de’ Medici arrived at her beloved villa. 
Over 2 days, the streets of the historic town come alive with costumed figures, ancient crafts and historical games, offering visitors a chance to be immersed in the daily life of the time. Head to a Locanda or Osteria to try dishes inspired by Renaissance tradition in an authentic and charming atmosphere.

The festivities continue amidst tales, legends and popular conjecture until news arrives of the noblewoman’s mysterious death on July 16, 1576. Rumors abound but the truth is shared in hushed tones in the village charged with charm and mystery.

The grand finale takes place in the scenic setting of the Ponti Medicei (Medici Bridges), where the figure of Isabella is celebrated with a solemn re-enactment. An event that combines history, tradition and entertainment involving the whole community.
