On Saturday, November 9, Castiglione della Pescaia will host an extraordinary historical reenactment that will bring back to life the atmosphere of the past among the charming streets of the medieval village. An afternoon out of time, to be experienced immersed in history and culture, among traveling shows and period costumes.

The event is part of the celebrations for the 450th anniversary of the death of Cosimo I de' Medici and Giorgio Vasari, two figures of great importance to the history of the Tuscan Renaissance.

Starting at 3:30 p.m., the medieval village will be the scene of a traveling performance along the castle's most picturesque spots and corners. A theater company, accompanied by numerous people in period costumes, will enliven each scene, offering the audience the opportunity to experience an immersive journey into the past. Among courtiers, ladies and knights, participants will be able to breathe in the atmosphere of the 16th century.

The re-enactment will end in the late afternoon in Piazza Solti, where all the costumed people will gather for a grand final banquet, which will close the event with a stage show, combining history and culture in an atmosphere of conviviality and sharing.
