After the success of last year’s “Bruschetta da Guinness,” Castiglion Fiorentino is preparing to host a new edition of “Andar per Frantoi” (“Go to the Oil Mills”).
This edition’s, titled “CLANIS OLEUM – Andar per Frantoi e Mercatini” will be entirely dedicated to wellness, a theme that links extra-virgin olive oil to health, caring for the body and quality of life.
On Saturday, November 22 and Sunday, November 23, the Tuscan village will become the scene of the Grande Festa dell’Olio Nuovo (Great Festival of New Oil), a weekend of food and wine, culture and relaxation.
The heart of the event will be the Cloister of San Francesco, which on Sunday, November 23, will host events, tastings and occasions to meet, dedicated to wellness and local products.
Throughout the weekend, restaurants and venues in Castiglion Fiorentino will offer themed menus where extra-virgin olive oil will be the absolute protagonist, exalting a product of excellence recognized not only for its gastronomic qualities but also for its beneficial effects on health.
Extra-virgin olive oil, which has always been a mainstay of the Mediterranean culinary tradition, is now also finding its way into the world of cosmetics and body care. Its beneficial properties were already known to ancient peoples. Indeed, the Phoenicians called it “liquid gold” and used it as a natural beauty treatment. Following this philosophy, the 2025 edition of the Oil Festival aims to tell the story of not just a product but a true way of life based on respect for nature, biodiversity and the landscape.
