Mont’Alfonso sotto le stelle

From July 17–August 23, the Mont’Alfonso Sotto le Stelle (Mont’Alfonso Under the Stars) festival brings to the heart of Garfagnana music and theater by artists such as Stefano Bollani, Fiorella Mannoia, Stefano Massini, Angelo Branduardi, Cristiano De André, The Kolors, Maurizio Lastrico, Filippo Graziani, Abbadream, Ensemble Symphony Orchestra, Cesare Picco, Canto Libero, Andrea Satta and Francesco Repice. All in an enchanting setting of silent peaks, trails and pristine nature.

This 6ᵗʰ edition opens in Piazza Luigi Carli of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, with these preview events offering free admission (reservations are required via the Festival website or the Pro Loco of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana):

• July 17
  “Transumanza Gotica” (“Gothic Transhumance”), a journey-show by Andrea Satta exploring scenarios of the Partisan Resistance
• July 24
  “La Resistenza in Lucchesia - Racconti e cronache della lotta antifascista” (“The Resistance in Lucca - Tales and Chronicles of the Anti-fascist Struggle”) with Arca Azzurra
• July 25 
  “Ci Vediamo alla Radio” (“See You on the Radio”) with journalist Francesco Repice
• July 28
  Stefano Massini recounts Ariosto
