The Orchestra della Toscana (ORT) is touring once more, this time heading to Carrara at the Teatro degli Animosi with 2 dates: Friday, March 20 and Tuesday, May 19, both starting at 9:00 pm.
On Friday, March 20, the concert will be conducted by Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, with Jeremias Fliedl on cello.
The program features La Morte di Mélisande - Pelléas et Mélisande Op. 46 by Jean Sibelius, Franz Joseph Haydn’s Cello Concerto No. 2 and Symphony No. 4 Op. 60 by Ludwig van Beethoven.
On Tuesday, May 19, Diego Ceretta will take to the podium, with Silvia Careddu on flute.
On the playbill are Matteo Rubini’s Ad Lucem, commissioned by the Fondazione ORT, and the premiere performance of Jacques Ibert’s Concerto for Flute and Orchestra and Symphony No. 2 Op. 73 by Johannes Brahms.
Tickets for a single show are priced at €15 for the stalls and central boxes or €10 for the lateral boxes and gallery. For under-25s and over-65s, tickets cost €5. Tickets for both concerts cost €25 for the stalls and central boxes or €17 for lateral boxes and gallery.
