A conference in Carrara on Gori and his relationship with contemporary art

On February 19 at 5:00 pm, the Museum of Arts in Carrara (MudaC) is hosting a lecture dedicated to the figure of Giuliano Gori, titled Giuliano Gori and Environmental Art between Pistoia and Carrara
The occasion will be presented by art critic, curator and university lecturer Angela Vettese.

The focus of this conference is the experience of the great collector who helped develop an important heritage of environmental art between Pistoia and Carrara, in parallel with the private collection forged along with the artists at the Fattoria di Celle.
Through historical and critical testimony, this will be an opportunity to explore the relationship between Gori and contemporary art in public spaces, with reference also to the 2002 exhibitions Magnet Continuity. Foreign Artistic Presences in Tuscany, curated by Vettese, and Sculpting Marble, curated by Gori himself in Padula Park.

Also scheduled are speeches by Gea Dazzi, Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Carrara, and Stefano Pezzato, Collection and Archives Manager of the Centro Pecci in Prato.

Admission is free while seats last.
