At the MudaC (Museum of Arts in Carrara) comes an exhibition investigating the link between the environment and the human soul

From Saturday, January 24, through to Sunday, March 22, Giulia Nelli’s exhibition Radicati alle profondità della terra (Rooted to the Depths of the Earth) will be on view in the Project Room of Carrara’s MudaC (Museum of Arts in Carrara).

The artist proposes a symbolic journey through the forest to illustrate the hidden fragilities of nature and man, inviting a new respect for the environment and an inner quest beyond the illusion of control.
The work recalls the importance of rediscovering the deep roots that bind each person to their territory, in all naturalistic, cultural and economic aspects, as a basis for overcoming a limited and selfish view of reality.
The idea stem from the dismemberment of tights down to thread, in an encounter between consumer materials and textile art where the thread becomes a symbol of roots, ties and belonging.
The predominance of black and the dialog between solids and voids build an intense aesthetic, together able to evoke the depths of the earth and those of the human soul.

The inauguration is scheduled for Friday, January 23 at 5:00 pm.

The exhibition can be visited during the museum opening hours of Tuesday through Sunday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 3:00 to 6:00 pm.
