Exhibition at the Museum of Arts in Carrara (MudaC)

From Saturday, February 14 to Sunday, August 30, the Museum of Arts in Carrara (MudaC) hosts Legami: Ties That Bind by Mikayel Ohanjanyan, an exhibition-project that explores the theme of human relationships through the language of marble sculpture.

Through 5 works conceived as a single monumental installation, the exhibition focuses on the central elements of the artist’s most recent research on links understood as connection, historical memory and resilience.
The sculptures narrate identity, time and relationships, spelling out a dialog between matter and space.
The concept of bonds, a fundamental value in a society marked by divisions and contrasts, thus becomes an immersive and visually striking experience.

The body of work was designed and created specifically for Carrara, the city that houses the artist’s new studio and which, twinned with his hometown of Yerevan, represents a symbolic place for his research.
MudaC welcomes this project as one of the most significant moments in its contemporary programming.

Curated by Christopher Atamian and Tamar Hovsepian, the exhibition can be visited during museum opening hours.
