Five concerts at iconic places in Camporgiano

Thanks to the 2ⁿᵈ International Chamber Festival , chamber music returns to enliven Camporgiano’s summer with a calendar of five concerts in the town’s iconic piazzas and churches.

The program:

  • Sunday, June 29
    “An Evening at the Opera” in Piazza San Giacomo, in the shadow of the Rocca Estense, where the Belcanto in Trio will perform a program of music from the repertoire of Giacomo Puccini, Vincenzo Bellini, Pietro Mascagni, E. Krakamp, A. Diabelli, F. Borne and F. Chopin. Musicians Raffaele Bifulco (flute) and Massimo Salotti (piano) will accompany the voice of Greta Buonamici.
  • Saturday, July 12
    In the Church of Santa Maria Assunta in Vitoio, the chords of the concert for flute (Raffaele Bifulco) and guitar (Dario Vannini) named “Flute and Guitar Between the Ages: A Musical Journey Between Styles and Centuries” will resound with the performance of pieces from Johann Sebastian Bach, Mauro Giuliani, François-Joseph Gossec, Astor Piazzolla, Celso Machado, F.P. Demillac and E.G. Baron.
  • Friday, August 8
    In the Romanesque Church of San Biagio in Poggio, a concert for flute (Raffaele Bifulco) and harp (Carla They) by the Duo Arcadia “Lux et Aurea” is dedicated to Saint Francis for the 800ᵗʰ anniversary of the Canticle of the Sun.
  • Monday, August 11
    In the Church of San Tommaso Apostolo in Casciana, a concert for flute (Raffaele Bifulco) and harpsichord (Andrea Chezzi) with “Splendors of European Baroque” featuring music by Benedetto Marcello, Johann Sebastian Bach, Jean-Marie Leclair, Frederick the Great and Paolo Benedetto Bellinzani.
  • Sunday, August 24
    In the Church of Santa Maria Assunta in Puglianella, a concert by the Trio “Les Flûtes Galantes” with three flutists—Raffaele Bifulco, Claudia Bucchini and Manuela Romanelli—who will perform scores by Johann Joachim Quantz, Marin Marais, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Giuseppe Rabboni, A. Fahrbach and François-Joseph Gossec.

The concerts start at 9:30 pm.
Admission is free.
