In the heart of the San Silvestro Archaeological Mines Park, immersed in the timeless charm of its evocatively illuminated Rocca Medievale (Medieval Fortress), an atmospheric cultural and musical event comes to life on Wednesday, August 21 at 9:30 pm: “La Rocca Si Illumina - Quattro sassofoni sotto la luna” (“The Rocca Lights Up - Four Saxophones Under the Moon”).
The star of the evening is the Sax Bis Quartet, an outstanding lineup composed of Alessandro Costa (soprano sax), Noemi Napoli (alto sax), Mattia Furfori (tenor sax) and Giuseppe Fusco (baritone sax). The musical program spans eras and styles, ranging from Vivaldi to Smetana, Weill to Gershwin, along with other famous composers.
An atmospheric and engaging concert designed to exalt the uniqueness of the venue and give the audience an evening of beauty and music under the starry sky of the Val di Cornia.
