The Youth Carnival

Anghiari is preparing to be adorned in colors, smiles and merriment for one of the most anticipated events of the year: the Carnevale della Gioventù (Youth Carnival), with the 56ᵗʰ edition scheduled for Sunday, February 8, kicking off at 3:00 pm. 
An event that involves young and old in a festive, lighthearted and fun atmosphere. 

The village comes alive with parades of groups in masks and grand floats that have long been the beating heart of the Anghiarian Carnival. 
Also participating in the event this year will be Gruppo Bandistico Majorettes di Lama from Perugia, ready to bring the rhythm to the streets of the historic center.

The day will conclude with the impressive Illuminiamo il Carnevale. At the end of the parade, all participants will be involved in the collective lighting of luminous balloons, creating an eye-catching sight full of magic.

And for those who want to indulge in a tasty treat, a food stand with Brustichino (a local style of Bruschetta) and Salsicce (Italian sausages) will be set up in addition to classic carnival sweets.
