Medieval Tuscany experience: visit Val d'Orcia from Florence

After the free time it will be time to leave for the Val d'Orcia, a UNESCO heritage area characterized by expanses of emerald hills that turn into golden fields during the summer (you will certainly recognize a well-known scene from a famous film based on the life of a Gladiator of imperial Rome that was in fact shot on these hills along our route). In this beautiful area of Tuscany we will be the first to visit Montalcino, a village extremely known by true Tuscans for its wine, one of the best in Italy.

In Montalcino, if included in the specific rate, it will be possible to taste local wines and products of the Tuscan medieval tradition. After a rewarding walk through the streets and typical shops we will leave for the last stage of our tour, Pienza, a famous village known for its cheese production, we advise you to take advantage of the stage to include Pecorino di Pienza in your shopping.
