Starting from Sambuca Val di Pesa, in the Chianti region, among river and agricultural scenery that at this time of year seem to come out of Monet's brush, we will go to retrace the legends and places that saw S. Giovanni Gualberto, founder of the Vallombrosan order, as a protagonist, and then we will arrive at the famous Badia a Passignano.
We will ascend the hills bordering the protected area of Passignano towards Rignana, where we will admire the wide scenery, geometric vineyards and colonial farms typical of this area of Chianti. We will follow the course of the Pesa Stream and then enter atmospheres of silent, typically Mediterranean woods.
Crossing the protected area we will head towards the Abbey of St. Michael Archangel in Passignano, an extraordinary Vallombrosan monastery surrounded by precious vineyards. Immersing ourselves in the atmosphere of the place, we will stop at Badia a Passignano before heading towards a sylvan path that will lead us back to Sambuca.
