Guided e-biking tour in Lucca with wine tasting

Enjoy an easy and pleasant e-bike ride in & around Lucca, one of the most iconic historical towns of Tuscany, and a guided visit to a small winery to taste great wines & foods.

You start the day meeting your experienced private tour guide right at a bike rental garage in Lucca. Your guide will lead the tour for the whole day, starting with an introduction to the area of Lucca and its picturesque surroundings, spotted by a great number of late Renaissance villas. After a few minutes to set up all the e-bikes and practice riding them, the tour starts in the green context of the Serchio river park, along a series of tiny back roads to avoid traffic. Your guide will stop at several points of interest and explain facts about the area, adjusting the pace of the ride to the needs of the group, to make sure that everybody is enjoying the experience.

In the first part of the day, you will reach a small family-run winery, producing around 50,000 bottles per year. Here you will enjoy a guided visit to all the premises of the winery, in which an operator of the company will provide plenty of interesting details about the wine making methods they use. You will have several chances to take pictures in their vineyards and see how the grapes are growing on the vines.

The visit to the winery is followed by a great wine tasting session in a beautiful panoramic terrace right in the middle of their vineyards. You will be served some delicious snacks based on the vegetables produced by the company and you will enjoy them with 6 excellent wines. The experience continues with a stunning ride on the city fortifications of Lucca. The town is fully surrounded by a ring of 3 miles of ancient walls, which nowadays constitute a circular elevated park around the center.

The tour will include a full round of the city fortifications with several stops for pictures and a ride into the most important squares and monumental places in town. There will be a great occasion to taste some delicious gelato in town and some free time available in case somebody in the party would like to enjoy some shopping. The tour ends in the early evening as you return to the bike rental place.
