Fortezza di Girifalco

Girifalco Fort

Take a tour of this ancient fort

Thanks to a long period of peace which reigned in the Grand Duchy of Tuscany after the end of the war with Siena (1554-1556), the fort was more or less left unused. It was bought by the local administration of Cortona in 1770.
