Podere le Caggiole is an ancient Tuscan farmhouse, whose history is documented as far back as before the year one thousand, standing quietly among the hills of Montepulciano, encircled by century-old oaks. Beautifully restored, the farmhouse is today the home of Giacomo, who offers hospitality in one comfortable room and two cosy apartments, carefully converted from the old rural outbuildings once used for country life.

Guests can choose between three distinct places to stay: the romantic la Nicchia room, the ideal hideaway for a couple's getaway; and the two welcoming apartments, la Massaia and la Limonaia, each with its own living room with kitchenette and direct, private access to the garden, also perfect for small families seeking independence and quiet. On request, la Massaia can be combined with la Nicchia, to welcome larger groups or extended families without giving up their own space.

By reservation, the farmhouse's dining room or the panoramic terrace become a private restaurant reserved for small groups.

Giacomo, chef and sommelier, also offers traditional Tuscan cooking classes, a fully hands-on experience featuring traditional fresh pasta such as pici, pappardelle and gnocchi, as well as chianina beef and other local specialities, finishing with tiramisù made together with guests. Over more than fifteen years of classes, le Caggiole has gathered several hundred reviews, almost all five stars, and is, on TripAdvisor, the top-rated business in the area for this type of experience.

Guided tours of the farm are also organised on request. Set in the quiet countryside yet close to the main road links, this is the ideal base for those who love art, wine and history, and wish to visit Tuscany's most celebrated destinations in a single day before returning, in the evening, to the silence of the fields.
