By mountain bike between Punta Ala and Castiglione della Pescaia

The tour, designed for intermediate level bikers, starts from the Porto di Punta Ala and heads to the surrounding heights allowing, once at the summit, to enjoy a 360-degree view.

Starting from the Port of Punta Ala, you travel for a few kilometers of asphalt to reach a road that is only partially paved (via Rio Palma) that climbs the heights of the resort, allowing for breath-taking views from the elevated trail, known in the past as the Via dei Cavalleggeri. From up above the view is unforgettable. To reach the Val del Melo you need to ride along a challenging ascent and descent. This is the only, very short, difficult passage, but it is possible to descend and carry the bike on foot. Thereafter, the loop-shaped tour develops in a simple way.
