In the park, a guided horseback riding tour to discover the different natural environments that characterize the Park can be enjoyed. Here wetlands alternate with a proper dune landscape coexisting with a wooded landscape where the forest essence of the majestic stone pine blends with that of English oaks and other deciduous trees, in a landscape with enchanting tones. An unmissable experience for all lovers of ecotourism, different in different seasons of the year but always evocative. The Equitiamo stables is located within the San Rossore Park and organizes horse riding school, ponies, rides and various initiatives, upon reservation. There are also other riding stables in the rest of the Park.

Visitors, favored by a mild climate, will also discover the former Royal Stables and the vast agricultural areas that surround them, which are used mainly for the wild breeding of Pisana and Chianina cattle, the latter often referred to as the "White Giant".

The wild breeding also includes the native breed of Monterufoli horse, also called Monterufolino. Horses have always played a fundamental role within the Park, which also features the historic San Rossore Hippodrome, inside which, in addition to racing, there are play areas for children and the possibility of refreshments at the restaurant.

For all lovers of equestrian tourism, what could a better destination be?

This travel proposal is designed for a horseback riding experience, but itineraries within the Park can also be explored in other ways: on foot, by bicycle and by small train with a guided tour depending on the area.

The Park is therefore an ideal destination for families, offering ecotourism and educational experiences that also include refreshments with typical products and overnight stays in characteristic local facilities.

The Equitiamo stables organizes activities with ponies for children all year round, and there is also an experimental project with schools for teaching with ponies during school hours. The stables has horses of the Monterufolino type, which the Park's agro-livestock company breeds in San Rossore in the wild and for life.
